The dining area features a 6-seater table, ideal for shared meals and laughter-filled conversations. We’ve also included a high chair for our littlest guests, so the whole family can gather together in comfort.

When you arrive, we’ll greet you with a freshly baked loaf of sourdough, just out of the oven. Along with that, you’ll find newly collected organic free-range eggs from our chickens, honey harvested from our hardworking bees, and exquisite farm-made strawberry jam.

It’s the perfect snack to enjoy upon arrival or, even better, the next morning on the deck with a cup of coffee, while you watch the elephants in the distance.

  • The most beautiful location watching elephants go by from our stoop. The place is immaculate and has absolutely everything and more than you can need. A lovely warm and friendly family whose background story we loved. A magical peaceful place on a working farm. We had fresh eggs from their hens, honey from their bees and wonderful fresh baked sourdough. Carrie and and her family were amazing hosts -thank you so much.

  • Tranquil setting with beautiful scenery and animals to gaze at. So regretful making this only an overnight stop, I would have Loved to have made this a minimum 2 night. So tranquil and peaceful. Animals in pens to see and overlooking the reserve, where we could see zebras on this stay. There was bread, eggs, milk , and more left for us to partake in. This was really appreciated considering we had just travelled up the garden route from CT. There were board games as well for some family bonding (squabbling) . Oh and there was even some Sherry to cap the night off, sitting on the veranda and enjoying the scenery.

  • Wonderful Location! you can watch the elephants and zebras while enyoing a cup of coffee on the veranda! Our kids loved playing in the garden and taking a look at the animals of the farm. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and comfortable, very safe, private and calm surrounding. Activities near by.
    Carrie and the whole family are very nice and friendly. They took a lot of effort to make our stay wonderful.
    We defenitly recommend this place! (and you defenitly should try the handmade soaps- it's worth it!)

    OMG!!! We've stayed in many places both in and outside of South Africa over our travelling years, but THIS time, we were blown away by your love with that bread. Thank you so much. The quality of the provisions, kitchenware, appliances, bedding etc in the whole place is phenomenal. And then......, the views from the stoep, is to die for. Seeing the elephants and other animals in the adjoining sanctuary, is a special bonus. The nightly visits of that large troop of baboons, evoked a lot of interest and "nervousness ", 😏 but they were interesting to watch.
    Thank you Ian and Laura for the eggs and the interesting conversations. Ice , your dog, is also special in his friendly manner. Families with young children will enjoy your farm animals on site and could learn a lot from you.

    The location is unbeatable—perched on a peaceful farm with breathtaking views of elephants roaming freely at the neighboring Knysna Elephant Park. Waking up to the sight of these majestic animals from our stoep was an unforgettable experience! Yet, despite the tranquil setting, we were just a short drive from Plettenberg Bay’s stunning beaches, amazing restaurants, and charming shops.
    The homestead itself is immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and stocked with everything we could possibly need (and more!). We cannot wait to return to this home from home...thank you Carrie and Laura for the most amazing stay!

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at Elephant View Homestead exquisite property, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment we stepped inside, we knew we were in for a treat.
    The property is strategically located in a prime area, making it easily accessible to all major attractions. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and perfect for families. We were able to explore the surrounding areas with ease, and the host provided us with valuable recommendations on where to go and what to do.
    The house itself is a masterpiece. It's spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with every luxury amenity you could possibly need. The interior is tastefully decorated, with beautiful artwork and furnishings that create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We felt like we were living in a five-star resort!
